Cursor

Folder in every kit: cursor/. Starter projects already have these files installed.

  1. Copy cursor/.cursor/ from the kit into your project root.
  2. Open Cursor's rules settings. Always-on rules such as core, security and agent-workflow show as Always; stack rules are attached by file globs.
  3. Workflows such as plan-feature live in .cursor/rules/workflows/ as manual rules. Type @plan-feature in chat to use one.

Format notes

Cursor loads only .mdc files from .cursor/rules. The frontmatter is description, globs and alwaysApply. With alwaysApply: true, globs are ignored. Keep each rule under 500 lines; every kit rule is.

Cursor also loads Agent Skills (SKILL.md folders) from .cursor/skills/ and .agents/skills/, and for compatibility from .claude/skills/ and .codex/skills/. If you install a kit's Claude Code or Codex folder in the same project, Cursor can pick up those skills too, so the workflows may appear both as skills and as manual rules. Install one tool's folder per project unless your team mixes tools.
